Impressive Dog Training in Dog’s Language

Submitted by on October 24, 2009 No Comment

Many people think that training a dog is a tough task. This is because of their unsuccessful attempts to understand the dogs’ behavior. The results are good when you start giving respect to your pet. Respecting is not meant for unwanted behavior, but understanding that the animal needs a space to exercise his authority and feel secure. Your understanding of the dog in terms of his intelligence, emotions and individuality is very important.

Dog Training

This is obvious that dogs can be rude, nasty, stubborn, aggressive as well as charming. The feelings like sadness, happiness, love, hate and alike are similar to human beings. They need you and also “miss you” if they become friendly with you. Their ability to talk to you in their own way is also interesting. Let’s discover: have you noticed that your dog bark back at you when demand something or say something? Barking means, your dog is saying no to your demands. If you keep on insisting the dog will develop aggressive. Although you wouldn’t want to heart your dog but the habit need correction as this is not good for you. The behavior can be corrected with not so aggressive approach. Your goal is simple; you don’t want a company of frustrated, fearful dog.

Dogs also grumble which is considered as their warning as they don’t want to be disturbed. This also means that you are crossing the limit especially when you reach closer to their food during their eating time. This may also happened when you wake them up. In any case they should not be given liberty to grumble or do anything disrespectful.

Dog Training

Dogs have strong ability to learn and they improve if they are trained properly. You should train him to consider you on a leading position. To achieve a leading position you should pay attention to your dog, understand him and listen to him. If you allow any improper behavior, a dog will step higher on the pack hierarchy. In this scenario, your dog will forget that you are his master. A dog always wants to remain on top as he has no definition of “human”. He will not obey your orders if you are unable to demonstrate superiority. Your dog taking lead and dictating his terms is a normal process. This is an indication that he is simply playing leader’s role because of your inability to lead.

The friendly relationship with your dog is the best you can achieve. Although this is commonly quoted that a dog is “man’s best friend” such relationship is actually impossible. Two can be friends only if they are equals. Your dog totally depends on you that is why he cannot be considered as your friend. You are the one to control his behavior as well as his food and eating habits. He should obey your orders and should always come when you call and follow other instructions like when you say sit, rollover and other similar commands.

Understanding your companion is a better approach to take a leading role which will enable your dog to love you more. This is observed that dogs love to exercise authority but they respect a master as well.
